The ability to switch between male and female occurs in some real life animals, mostly fish. It's called sequential hermaphroditism and is pretty cool. But it can normally only be done under specific circumstances.

Insipid needs to mix and match Havocwing's power and AJ's in order to create Lava

Would combining Havoc's and Curacao's powers allow her to turn INTO fire?

Two of the weirder questions it asked (when I was going with Blueblood) were "Is your Character a Mass Murderer" and "Does your Character use drugs recreationally?"

Insipid eventually gets everypony's power, then reveals that this was her plan the entire time and crowns herself as Nihila's replacement.

(Yeah, I honestly doubt that, but still, it would be quite the intersting twist.)

Twilight can draw practically unlimited magic fromn her friendships themselves.

Rarity can use her own magic to boost the powers of other ponies.

Rainbow can create any weather phenomenon just by flying.

Fluttershy gets an animal spirit to fight for her.

Applejack can absorb and manipulate earth, rock and certain metals.

Pinkie can warp reality through Rule of Funny.

Starlight draws magic from the void.

Insipid steals the powers of others.

Grayscale controls gravity.

Havocwing controls fire.

Curacoa can transform into other ponies and chamoflage herself.

Red Velvet feeds on fear, controls blood, causes illusions, creates darkness, teleports and enters dreams.
