Interestingly, I didn't care about cars at all before I started watching Top Gear. I started watching it for the comedy, but before too long I started to care about cars a fair bit.

That, and because I found I actually quite enjoyed the act of driving once I got used to it. I like the speed, the hum of the machinery. It's fun.

How do you know one of us hasn't already?

We've already had a few effective Face Heel Turn's in this thread.

Yeah, my take on driving is "go from point A to point B". It's not bad, but the thing is that when I'm driving I can't really do much of anything else. I'd much rather have somebody else drive so I can read or something.

@Story Eh, a few I like, but most of the time there's SOME kind of antagonist.

I never feel the desire to rewatch ANYTHING that doesn't have some kind of villain. They just bore me.

I like cars from a "how does all this junk work, and how was it all developed" perspective. Like a blend of science and history and mechanics.

Stories always have some sort of antagonist, or else you wouldn't have a story. Often, though, you don't have a villain. Your antagonist could be nature, or social structure, or your own neuroses.
