Or the jerkishness in PYHD was due to the fact that they were at a market. When money is involved people become more of a jerk, I see no reason why ponies should be any different.

On Final Fantasy, X was good, but I prefer both VI and IX. Kuja would probably be my favorite villain in the series if not for the fact that his character design is ridiculous.

My only real issue with PYHD was that Fluttershy's 180 descent into Jerkassery was a bit overdone.

Now that I am playing VI, having played V and X to completion. I now understand why Final Fantasy XIII is so despised.

@Ginger: His Stripperiffic design made him hard to take seriously. At least Kefka was supposed to look crazy. Kuja was this really suave, almost Bond-Villain-esque manipulator, but the guy dresses like a Vegas showgirl. I know that we're talking about Final Fantasy here, but if they had rehashed the design to something a little less flamboyant and he would have been one of my favorite villains ever. Although I should note that they design is the only real thing about him that bugs me.

@Seraphem: Definitely play IX. XIII you can take or leave; it's very linear and the setting is even more sci-fi than VII or VIII.

Yeah, the way they literally appeared out of nowhere was hilarious.

Sorry ginger, but Kuja looks ridiculous. I'm not dissing the character, but his design is weird.

I don't get accusations of the combat in X being slow, when VIII was a much WORSE offender at being slow.

For some reason I can picture a female version of Spike speaking like a Valley Girl.

I've played all the numbered non-sequel, non-MMO]= [=FFs and I'd probably say my favourite is 6, with 9 and 12 tied for second and 4 in fourth. The only one I really didn't like was 2, because it's such a grindy game on first playthrough (unless one spoils oneself by looking up some of the absolutely game breaking stuff going on in that system).

meh, I liked X..the issue people had with it was it was the first FF game since 4 to not use the ATB system.

People accuse X's combat of being slow? That's weird, I thought the battle system was the best part of that game.
