Having their tail cut is no worse than having a human arm cut off. People don't usually bother much with planning what to weild your sword with when your arm has been cut off because by that time, it's usually pretty clear who's going to win.

@Ginger:Starting with Feast For Crows Martin starts elevating minor characters to POV status for a single chapter here and there, for the sake of showing things we wouldn't normally see. On Pyke, we get Aemon, Asha, and Victarion. Victarion and Asha sort of become proper POV characters actually.

He's mid-thirties to forties I think. Less dignified, more "intelligent savage." Kind of Drogo-esque, but smarter.

@Kyler I pretty much DO mean appearance. What the feel of the character is like.

I like dignified middle-aged to elderly officer types

Hence why I love Tywin and it took me a while to get used to Azula

I'm at the part in Chapter 19 where Silvertongue has suggested to the Gryphon elite that they should build the 2 beacons to help balance the world

@ Dev: I enjoyed it. Very intense for not being an action chapter. Pinkie seems less annoying as well. Especially enjoyed Rainbow's role even if she was a bit to harsh.

Okay, I think I'm caught up now. Only thing I didn't tune out during the binge was the Jar-Jar discussion.

Fanboys initially hated Jar-Jar because he's basically the embodiment of trying to make the Star Wars movies safe for kids. They then had justification for hating him because, as representative of Naboo, he moves to grant supreme emergency power to Palpatine, and we all know how that ended up...

Jar Jar binks was annoying, yes, but there were worse issues with the movie.

Oh and I had to do the opera scene again because I forgot to save before entering the magitek research facility (And failed to stumble upon a save point before stumbling into subject 23). All in all nothing of value was lost (Besides a little bit of esper training)
