I have to admit I'm generally not a big fan of OC's in fics. It's not that they're bad, but I already have an attachment to the mane cast, and one of the things I like most about fanfic is seeing them get put in new situations. Given the choice between equally well written fics with O Cs and with the canon characters, I'll pretty much always go with the latter.

ok in general i dn't think the Mane 6 feel OOC in CEQ...except RD, not so much OOC as massivly falnderized, it's like SHE took an Iron Will assertiveness course, this author REALLY can't write her well, it's like the only Dash episodes he's seen are the Merriweather Williams ones.

They're all exaggerated. For example, Pinkie never makes explicit references to other books and story cliches in the actual show. And Rarity isn't that self centered.

hell, hlaf the time Greyscale feels more like RD then RD.
Greyscale is basically RD with the lazyness turned Up to Eleven
CEQ!RD is RD with her aggressive, hot-headedness both turned up to that, AND whose takin on a double dose of AJ's stubbornness.
yeah only thing i'm really not liking about this fic.

Hi everyone. I'm pretty mad right now, because I've spent a solid week trying and failing to get Minecraft. I'll probably just sail on over to the pirate bay tomorrow.
Anyway, ginger, you asked me about Kid Icarus, right? I've gotten up to Chapter 4, and I'd say it's a good game. Lots of humor and Leaning On the Fourth Wall. The gameplay is a bit awkward at first, but you get used to it. Not much plot yet, but the game's only just started. I like the Hewbraw(sp?), and I have a feeling Gaol will show up again.

that's pretty much the only time his RD dialog hasn't made me want to punch him for writing her so badly.
though rarity's Shipper on Deck tendencies are a bit over done and annoying.
yeah beginning to agree this guy should stick to OC's cause all of them are amazing.
