Of course, even when presented with a wacky comedy, that's the go to question.tongue

Watch Deep Space Nine if you want good villains.

@Ginger Just try it without caring about the villains. If you like it, good, if not, drop it. I don't know how many times I have to tell you this.

I agree, Ginger. Not every game needs RPG elements.
The Eleventh Doctor is cool.

@Ginger - Depends on how broadly you define "villain." The conflicts are usually based around personal matters rather than anybody being straight-up good or evil.

Might try the movies though.

Or you could try The Slayers.

... And actually, I agree about customization.

@Crow He shouldn't be recomending me a wacky comedy in the first place.

God, I'm on a negative streak again. Oh, I always get like this when I hear the word "customization" used as a selling point.

Oh dear, I still have a final tomorrow and I've slipped into "Summer Mode." Not too concerned about music history, though. Always been a strong suit of mine.

Also want to write fanfiction, but I'm a bit lazy and unsure of which story to work on - ambiguously gay Mormon ponies, pony protesters on a zeppelin, Braeburn turns everyone gay, Changelings encounter bug spray, those shipfics with the pianist...

@ ginger, I agree sometimes customization can get a bit to out of hand., but for somethings it's nice.

@Purple: While that is certainly true, the game in question is actually an RPG, so the lack of said elements would be rather odd.

I do agree though, too much freedom in a game often leads me to do nothing.

Braeburn turns everyone gay

This one. If only for the Memetic Sex God funnies it could produce.

[up] I know, I was just talking about games in general.

@Moe STOP RECCOMENDING ME COMEDIES!!

I want ACTION dammit

@Chada I do love CERTAIN heroes, but they're almost NEVER what get me through a show.

I would've NEVER EVER, EVER watched beyond episode 3 of Avatar without the promise of Azula

Actually, I agree with Ginger about customization. Though in my case, its because "customization" is almost always broken. What always happens is they allow all sorts of options, but only one particular configuration is actually practical unless you learn some glitch or are willing to do a metric ton of grinding.

I think it's possibly for a game to give you too much to do. It's one of the reasons I haven't brought Skyrim. I would want to complete it but I know I wouldn't be able to.

The thing about customization is, I don't wanna roleplay. I don't care. I just want to follow some interesting characters through an interesting story and fight an interesting villain.

but RP Gs are the only games that have worthwhile plots and antagonists anymore.

I almost played through Deus Ex 3 before I started getting bored with how powerful I was.

[up] I honestly have no clue

While I agree that a lot of games offer more customization than is really needed, in most cases I don't bother with it much and it isn't really an issue. Lots of games offer defaults, and even when they don't it isn't that hard to pick a few good skills or whatever to focus on. It's there for people that want it, and if you don't it doesn't really get in your way that much.

Went into the bathroom at school today, guys shooting dice in there. Not the first time I see them, and I assume those dice aren't very clean...

I like customizing. If the interface is user-friendly.

... thus showing you don't know anything about the two shows I recommended.

But, okay, fine: Go Lion, Gatchaman, Ronin Warriors, Ghost in the Shell, Astro Boy, Speed Racer.

On a more American line, since you liked Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night might wanna try He-Man or She-Ra. Maybe Bravestarr and Filmation's brand of Ghostbusters, as I recall them having some notable villains.

@Moe: Colin would disagree with that. To him, there are many ways to play Final Fantasy 5 and he never feels punished for trying different things out.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
