@Ginger: Havocwing needs her shoes to create a spark, but once she has one, she can control the fire. You make an interesting point about how she's the least respected like Fluttershy is the most loved. Red Velvet can mix her own blood with that of others to gain more material to control and yeah, she gets more powerful from fear. Her powers are extensive but she weakens and begins to starve when she has no fear to eat. Shadowstep eventually returns.

@ginger: The male pregnancy genre. And I have to imagine you're righto n that note, I can't imagine any man ever writing something like that unless it was a trollfic. Pregnancy seems horrifying enough in the gender that's built for it, let alone the gender that isn't.
