The entire His Dark Materials series wants me to go on a rant.

I thought the first one was good. I didn't mind Lyra - the series had other issues.

@ginger The first one was ok, but by Mockingjay it had degenerated to teen angst and random fighting.
If you stare into the abyss long enough, it stares into you.

Element of Indecision.

@Turtle Cabin In The Woods. Purely on the grounds that The Hunger Games sucked balls from a technical standpoint [lol]

So how much would a non horror fan like Cabin In The Woods anyway?

Y'know, I have trouble remembering the rationals and motivations of the characters in His Dark Materials. A whole lot of stuff revolving around either find or capture Lyra, but...

Fuck, I can't remember anything.

Also, accidentally knocking over a thief in your house doesn't make you a murderer, I don't think.

I noticed a couple times where they accidently left the camera stationary for a second or two.

Another Symphonic Metal variant.

Orchestral Remix of the main theme

Music wise, I have a massive like list, with a strong preference towards chiptunes (Mega Man, Sonic, Jazz the Jazkrabbit) and a good thumpin' beat. Also this amazing orchestral version of Reach for the Stars.

@Pannic: That one counts as self-defense, at worst manslaughter in the course of self-defense.

If you like Chip tunes, how about Cave Story?

Dystopian stories just leave a bad taste in my mouth. Especially if they're like 1984

Why is shaky cam still a thing? I've never heard anyone say they like it, it seems pretty universally hated.

Ok, let me restate that. I like Psychological Horror and not Gore Horror. Will I be ok with Cabin in the Woods?

Personally, Moonsong is my favorite.

@Crow Well, (at least as far as the action scenes are concerned) it was used in Hunger Games in order to avoid an R rating. The camera was moving around so much to keep us from seeing too much of the violence

@Lyra: Not much, just finishing breakfast before going to work.

...Are ponies like you ticklish?

@Jittercam trickery: Eh. The only cam-shaking I like is to give the illusion of mass when something big makes the cam shake with every footstep, complete with bass amplification on each footfall.

Given the thread we are currently conversing in. I would say that the term Target Audience is a negative.

@Ticklish debate. Well humans are normally vulnerable in the feet. Do hooves have sensitive nerves? But ponies are probably vulnerable on the bellies and possibly the sides.. The only catch is tickling one without getting bucked.
