I don't get the Hub, so on one hand, I don't get to see it until it gets uploaded on Youtube. On the other hand, at least I get to sleep in. Always look on the bright side of life.

Going back to the E/I thing, I think she meant that she wanted a little more wiggle room so that they could treat their audiences with a little more respect. Not so they could use toilet humor or stuff like that.

At its heart, the show would remain the same.

For example, she mentioned that FWF almost got vetoed due to the cheating.

PS. I rewatched the pilot and I noticed some oddities. For example, the pegauses pulling the cart at the beginning also move their hooves for some reason, and the wheel is spinning.

Also, Fluttershy's wings stick out when she first meets Spike. It looks a bit odd, though it has more disturbing implications if you believe the wingboner thing.

^^Yeah. It's a little unfortunate that an episode with an Aesop about how cheating doesn't pay nearly got axed for depicting cheating - and by 'a little unfortunate' I mean 'what the hell, Treehouse, what?'

As for Fluttershy's wingboner: You've seen that video with the bleeps? "I've never <beep> a baby dragon before!"

The Moral Guardians were probably worried that some kids might've seen it as a Karma Houdini situation; the fact that both Rainbow Dash and Applejack came in last doubtlessly mollified them.

And even if it didn't, it would've been easy to just modify the story a bit and work around the concerns, instead of rejecting the story all together.

I really hope they never pair Spike with Rarity or any of the other older ponies. He's too little. Although Rarity basically regards him as an adorable little baby dragon so that shouldn't be an issue.
