I saw The Avengers movie last night. For a Big Dumb Action Movie, it was pretty much perfect. The characters (with the exception of Stark and the Cap) work much, much better as part of an ensemble than as main characters. I think it was the best Marvel movie yet.

So anyway... I guess I'm going to re-watch episodes 5 and 6 today since I haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe I'll finally come to understand why the fandom loves Trixie so much. First though, I need to get some writing done...

You have to remember that most of Fo E was written while season 1 was going on. So the Season 2 references are few.

Yes but I was expecting them to reference Discord first, since that was the first notable thing known about season 2.

As for The Avengers, I thought the first half was a lot better than the second half. The character interactions were a lot more interesting than all the fighting stuff at the end.

This is admittedly true. The best parts of the fight were the brief team-ups. Too much individual fighting, not enough Back-to-Back Badasses.

The moment with Thor and the Hulk was one of the best in the movie.

I thought it was pretty good all the way through, though the aliens definitely left something to be desired. They were basically just an extremely generic enemy to give the heroes something to face. Not to mention how utterly incompetent they were, honestly I think the American military could have handled them just fine on their own, they just would have had a lot more civilian casualties if the Avengers hadn't been their to slow down their initial assault. A certain poster would be disgusted with me though, I didn't want to miss anything cool, so the one time I went to the bathroom I made sure to do so when Loki was kicking ass. He was much more interesting in this movie than in Thor.

Seriously? I thought Loki was way more interesting in Thor. In there he had the whole inferiority complex, the reveal about his parentage, and you could tell there was that constant struggle between whether or not to accept his brother. He was interesting and dynamic. He still had his class and smoothness here, but... he lost his intrigue. He was just another howling villain hellbent on revenge. They didn't even bother to give him any interesting scenes with Thor, for godsakes.

No, I still have massive end-of-term paper due on the 12th that's worth something like 70% of a grade. Once that's done I'll swap avatars. I'm honestly not too worried about it since I'm already most of the way done, but I like that avatar anyway.

Also I just found out that my car needs $450 worth of repairs. There goes all my money.
