The same way Green Lanterns fight. Most of the Lanterns have a normal set of powers that they can use that aren't necessarily connected to their emotion, but that depends.

• Orange: The only TRUE member of the Orange Lantern Corp is its "leader" Larfleeze. Leader is in quotations because the entirety of it, minus himself, is COMPLETELY made up of constructs of almost EVERY SINGLE SENTIENT PERSON HE HAS EVER KILLED. In fact, if more than one flesh and blood person wields the Orange, the power collectively becomes weaker.

• Yellow: It is more about inflicting Fear upon others rather than Fear itself, thus most of the Sinestro Corp, named after its leader, is comprised of scary looking, blood thirsty psychotics.

• Indigo: Since individuals who have Compassion as an actual personality trait are extremely rare, the Indigo tribe has reduced itself to forcefully inducting complete sociopaths and making them constantly feel empathy, mostly unwillingly. In fact, a recent Green Lantern issue revealed one of the tribe's homebases is actually a prison planet many of them lived in years ago.

@ Ginger, Blue and Yellow lanterns are choosen for there ability to induce there emotion in others, not for having it themselves in great quantity.

@Ginger It definitely hampers them, that's for sure, but their rings run off of a charge, so they can use the rings until they run out.

And the strongest color is the Blue of Hope, but only when there is a green lantern nearby, and they also supercharge any Green lanterns near them.

White Lanterns are an amalgamation of the whole spectrum, and represent Life. I don't know enough about that whole Brightest Day arc to know any more.

I don't think the Mane cast would work to well in any of the lantern corps. They wouldn't qualify

black = Death

White = Life

orignally there was only White, but it then broke apart into the 7 other emotional spectrum colors. Blackest Night was about the Black lanterns arising (Zombie superheroes that are corpses reanimated by a Black Ring and have all there original powers plus all the powers of the ring, and EVERY ring in the universe gets stronger everytime one of them rips the heart out of a person feeling a powerful emotion) in an attempt to return everything to nothing, there main goal was to find and kill the White Entity of Life, which once it was found used it's power to convert some of the heros that had been turned into White Lanterns for the final fight.

Mane Six as lanterns? Well if we wanted to get one into each of the corp then it would probably be. . .

Applejack- Green

Rainbow Dash- Red

Rarity- Orange

Fluttershy- Indigo

Pinkie. . .Violet?

and Twilight. . .Blue?

The green lantern corps vary from writer to write. Usually they are trying to bring justice for the good of all. The definitions of Justice, Good and All are up for debate

Yeah, I know nothing about Green Lantern.

yeah Green was created as a police force.

Yellow as created by Sinestro who has the same basic goal "creat order in the universe" but he thought the Green Lanterns didn't go far enough and wanted to esentially make the universe a police state ruled by fear

orange is just one person and he is entirly motivated by greed.

Red is all about revenge for the wrongs done against them, and punishing people that inflict those hurst on others.

blue, is about spreading hope as far as they can.

Indigo, no clue

Violet..the Star Sapphires were originally created as a way for jilted women to get revenge on the formor lovers that wronged them.

@Stevebat: Many of the Green Lanterns themselves are really good people, and despite some philosophical differences they all agree about what's good and what's evil. Its the guys who started the Green Lantern Corp that are becoming the real bastards.
