I'd still like them to go the route of including a more low powered but still incredibly dangerous manipulatve villain.

I think this is the best option. It'd be hard to top Discord otherwise.

Agreed. Discord was pretty much on the top of the power level rig; any higher and you're hitting Eldritch Abomination territory.

@ginger you missed a slight discussion on Islamic Fluttershy (Yes, that is a thing D:) and a bit of Fanfic Recs.

How about a villain that CANT interact directly with equestria? A villain that would have to resort to puppets or minions (Or clever manipulations of ponies against each other) to do his bidding?

I'd like to see a villainous group of ponies that are Well Intentioned Extremists to the point that they're so far up the Order side of Order vs Chaos that they steal the Elements of Harmony and use them to try and bring "perfect harmony" to the world.

That reminds me. Do you think Snowcatcher should be an in universe fictional character? I had an idea that of ponies writing a crossover for the Daring Do and Adventures of Snowcatcher The Irreverent serieses. Plus it would allow more freedom in setting and explain why Princess Permafrost isn't actually real.

Just having a villainous team as opposed to a single entity would still be a nice change of pace.

@Ginger That wouldn't make any sense. There's a reason that Good vs Evil and Order vs Chaos are two separate things.

Or maybe whatever INVENTED the elements of harmony becomes a villain? Maybe due to corruption or something else, he doesn't think the elements he created are being used properly or by the right people
