I would shamelessly promote myself right now, but I'm only two chapters into my story ATM, so it won't actually do you any good for killing time.

As for serious recommendations, I'd like to toss out The Moonstone Cup if you want something more action-oriented. It pulls off the traditional Tournament Arc very well without even getting close to Grimdark.
