A pony dating sim huh? That could be interesting, but are we actually capable of pulling it off? Didn't Katawa Shoujo take several years to make?

@CDRW But there would probably need to be a Big Mac Route. I assumed the player would be a character of their own.

We could even see if we could work in a good villain.

@CDRW: Interesting. Now I just wish I had the time to experiment.

Also, I think it would probably be best to leave the "protagonist" as just a totally generic pony character; we wouldn't have to show them. Lets the player put themselves in that position. Maybe they could choose the gender or something just to make sure the pronouns match.

My guess is, if we would do this, it would be easier to start with one route and expand from there. And because this is a pony dating sim, perhaps we should be able to play matchmaker for other characters whose routes we aren't on, though it would be limited.
