^But they must have a modicum of combat training in order to guard effectively, and generally speaking, military disciplines don't arise unless they're needed. Or so I would argue.
I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!

The guards are probably only trained to take down the three common types of ponies. Anything more (or less) will get past them easily.

I would watch the new episodes when they appear on hubworld.com, but I can't get any of their videos to load for me anymore. They used to work just fine, but now they just stay a black screen with the Hub logo spinning on top. This was after updating both Flash and Fire Fox, and I'm not having any trouble with any other site's Flash content. Has anyone else had this problem?

Guards are there to guard. They're not soldiers.
Unless armed conflict exists, or has existed in the past (or is expected to exist in the future), then where would the concept of a guard come from?
And if their origin is purely ceremonial/decorative, then why the heavy metallic armor? Plate armor is way too cumbersome and restrictive for that function.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

Rarity seems to know what a tank is, if the lyrics of Art of the Dress are any indication
"Even though it rides high on the flank, Rainbow won't look like a tank"

Haven't seen discrod in action yet.spoilers do tend to ruin the plot for me.
Have fun in the meantime. Can't wait to discuss the new ep on saturday with you guys!

YouTube is a safe bet. I'm not sure what the timeframe is on that. Pensive Pony should have a low quality rip first, then other places will post higher quality stuff.

Given all the bronies out there nowadays, I'm sure there will be several HD rips on YouTube within an hour or two after the broadcast.

P.S. And I was toying with "What if Celestia met Q?" earlier today, honest to Luna...

I feel as if Ditzy Doo is a better name than Derpy Hooves. Derpy has a more internet based origin, just like a few other fan nicknamed ponies.
Is Dr. Whooves last name pronounced in the same way as Derpy Hooves' last name? It's kind of strange to name two of the most notable background pony's last names with the same pronounciation.
The sad thing about being a late brony is that it's hard to point something new out because It's Been Done.

"Dischord" sounds bad. He probably doesn't harmonize very well.

I always write is name as Doctor Whoof, so his last nime sound diffrent from Derpy.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

We only have 1 minute video of Discord, and already there are 9 pages of fan art on ponibooru. I'm gunna assume this is a good thing.

Well, I'm trying my best not to spoil myself, so that depends on your definition of 'good thing'.
I know Discord's appearance, voice actor, and some of his abilities, but I want the performance to surprise me.
