Hey everyone, I just had a great idea: Rapture Online. It'd be a great way to teach kids capitalism and science. And you could use Real World Money Trading to sell cute little hats to dress up your security bots.

There's a pretty big distance between "Knowing every detail of the plot that's coming up" and "making up everything as you go". Most writers (myself included) tend to be in between in the sense that they have a general outline of major events, but minor story elements can be changed if needed. How detailed the pre-writing outline is depends on the writer.

I know we have plenty of artists here, but do we have any sprite or vector artists? That's the real stumbling block, aside from the writing.

I've drawn a couple sprites before, but it takes forever and the results usually don't turn out well. It Art and Sound are the main stumbling blocks of game projects. That's why is't's so much easier to make a game if you can just copy existing art and music. Or if you can convince artists to help you.

I was just thinking of that the other day, but I didn't realize that they set up the animations to match exactly like that. Just another awesome touch to add to the list!
