I am circulating ideas for a pony rpg myself. But I need to learn how to write a script for a game, program and create art assets for said game.
A Pony visual novel would be really cool and there's a really good free program for making them called renpy.
I would like to contribute whenever I have time :D
Hey C, don't forget to review my fic, please.
Also, Ace, could you copy/paste all those links and put them in a PM for me, please?
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
A visual novel would indeed be really easy to program for those with the know-how, so I'm not surprised there's a simple open-source engine out there.
The story has to be really, really good.
Yeah. In fact, for the renpy source engine, you still need to learn to do some coding in Python in order to do any of the cool stuff.
Also, it's best if the idea originates from 4chan, for great publicity.
Am I hurting? Am I sad? Should I stay or should I go?
I've forgotten how to tell. Did I ever even know?
Yeah, let's all try it and go down in a blaze of glory!

I know we have plenty of artists here, but do we have any sprite or vector artists? That's the real stumbling block, aside from the writing.
Sprite artists? Are we planning a VN or an RPG?

How about a Legend of Zelda-influenced Metroidvania with relationship values and different endings?

Sure but... I need to learn more about C++ and SDL before setting up a
basic rendering framework.

Art really seems to be that big one that holds most game projects back, doesn't it?
