The German dub of Naruto removes all bladed weapons, or so I hear. Bit of a problem for a series that prominently features throwing knives and bigass swords.

I think the worst dub I've come across was the 1986 dub of Nausicaa which had be retitled Warriors of the Wind and had major plot points edited out of the film. "Princess Zandra" indeed.

I've heard the German version of C&C Generals is also very bad. They clumsily photoshopped all the images so taht they looked like robots, and they replaced the terrorist with a walking bomb.

You'd be surprised how much fanon there is out there thanks to that "the stars will set her free" line from the pilot that paints the stars as the Bigger Bad for the whole series.
