Oh believe me, Ginger, it's a lot worse when you read it...I myself nearly threw up.
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
@ CDRW: Just read your spoilers for Project Horizons. Just how much darker does it get?
Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
@Librarian I would rather know ahead of time and fail to mentally prepare myself, than be taken completely off guard by it
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
@ Drenius: Really big spoilers incoming, but you asked. Blackjack has her legs nailed to a crate and is gang-raped while trying to keep raiders from finding the filly in the next room. Also, somebody is run through a rock-grinder backwards, the grinder is turned off when she's halfway through, and she's given a healing potion to keep her alive until Blackjack can find her. Also, Blackjack kills Scoodle's friend in a berserker rage.
seriously, why do people read that thing?

What exactly is this thing that's being read again? (So I know not to read it.)
Are you not entertained? Is that not why you are here?
UGH can we just npot even mention that evil, mean spirited, gorn story anymore..DAMN more I hear about it more I have to know why ANYONE would read it, and if ANYONE would think it was worth it without the FOE tag.

Partly because I want to see what happens next, partly because I, like ginger, can rarely leave a story I'm reading unfinished unless I find it boring (seriously, I quit the Dawn of War omnibus two-thirds of the way through because I got bored of the third one really fast, plus CS Goto in my opinion isn't the best author), and partly because I want to hold on to the (admittedly in the case of this story, fast-fading) faint glimmer of hope at the end. In this case, I know that Gardens will be activated and everything'll be fixed, but what happens for the rest of the time up until then gives me cause to wonder.

yeah, so tell me CDRW, where 's the hope and the enjoyment to be found in THAT?

@ CDRW: Christ on a crutch! That's horrific. Admittedly some of the stuff I read includes some fairly horrific things happening, but nothing that graphic. Geez!

Yup, not touching that with a ten foot pole. The thing that bugs me about this sort of thing is that I just cannot believe that the story couldn't get across the same point without all the gratuitous cruelty.
@ Ginger: Blackjack perseveres.
But seriously, is there ANY niceness in it?
ANY FUCKING LEVITY?! any moments where the characters AREN'T. BEING. DYSFUNCTIONAL?

yeah this thing is like, the complete antithesis of
Fallout Equestria. FO:E was dark, but never THAT bad, and everything was there to serve the story, not just to be Gorn. Hell with the exception of the raiders even the more brutal stuff was pretty non-graphic.

Well, if CDRW and Librarian can be that cruel and sick and evil then I guess I'll just have to be too

Yes, Ginger, there is. You'll see when
you get to the end of Chapter 39.
Also, I would hardly call the fact that we can stand all of the bad stuff happening "evil". I think I'm more desensitized than anything, because I once worried my English teacher by saying that even though she was worried about me when I asked her to read
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, that I'd read stuff even darker than that.

let's talk about something better,
Time Lords and Terror anyone?
what it's my favorite non FO:E crossover fic.

I like Anthropology myself. Too bad it's not updating tonight like it usually does.
