yup, if you goof up to much you snap the pin.

for sure, no, but Lil'pip is sure he's the one that epmtied out all the easier locked drawers from that factory they hide in while on the way to Fillydelphia.

Yeah lockpicking mechanic in fallout works as such

You manipulate the bobby pin around then attempt to turn the lock. turning the lock too far for too long breaks the pin.

Fliiydelphia (everything until they leave Filly)

(Everything between leaving Filly and Canterlot)

Ending (everything after Canterlot.

for you, it served perfectly fine for the whole story, just not if you had some particular tastes.

Pink Eyes...now there is one that just complelty lost it at the end. Though grated it was never a literary masterpiece in the first place.
