So Pip uses up two bobby pins to open a chest? Is that a mechanic in Fallout?

Lockpicking is a relatively rare skill in the FOE universe.

... were we ever told if Red Eye could lockpick?

yup, if you goof up to much you snap the pin.

[up]for sure, no, but Lil'pip is sure he's the one that epmtied out all the easier locked drawers from that factory they hide in while on the way to Fillydelphia.

[up] That's why I asked, because Pip was so sure it was him

Personally, I can't imagine Red Eye out in the field like that. He seems too... sophisticated. [lol]

@ Ginger, yeah but he's not scared to get his hooves dirty, and it would have been long before he had amassed his huge army.

Yeah lockpicking mechanic in fallout works as such

You manipulate the bobby pin around then attempt to turn the lock. turning the lock too far for too long breaks the pin.

you know, sometimes you need to step back for a bit of perspective, anytime this thread goes 10 or even 20 minutes without a post, seem like it's dead and forgetten, then you look at just how rare even that amount of posting is in any other media thread.........

I'd say, 5

Lil'pip just exploring the wasteland and getting his group together (lasts til either the end of the Junction r7 arc or till she meats Steelhooves.

Them settling in and finding there place, (from there till they head out for Fillydelphia)

Fliiydelphia (everything until they leave Filly)

(Everything between leaving Filly and Canterlot)

Ending (everything after Canterlot.

for you, it served perfectly fine for the whole story, just not if you had some particular tastes.

Pink Eyes...now there is one that just complelty lost it at the end. Though grated it was never a literary masterpiece in the first place.
