@Chadaman, America. I thought the "From Northern Virginia" would've given it away.

@crowlover: Not that English version, though; that's just a Recursive Translation. Whoever made the comic never released the original English version.

@Apple true, but my mum has the money, and she's going out tonight so I have to look after my sister

@Mousa: Ironically I sort of have plans to move to America some day. But only San Fransisco, which is probably one of the more Canadian parts of America if what I've heard is true.

@Crowlover, I think I misunderstood you, by civilized one I meant the half above the Mason Dixie Line, not North and South America, I'm pretty confident South America has plenty of civilization.

@Kegisak, Why America? What's so great about us that couldn't possibly be better in the great White North? Or at least The UK.

I think I just want to tour america... not live there.

Or if I do live there, then in one of the smaller towns or the suburbs (fucking love suburbs)

@Mousa: the vast majority of the video games industry exists in the states. More specifically Double Fine Studios exists in San Fransisco, and thus San Fransisco remains the only part of the united states I actually care about. Beyond that I enjoy the prospect of spending my life in Montreal, or I might even like to move somewhere in Europe.

I'd rather live in the States than where I am right now.

Anyway, Storyyeller, what does the German version say if it's even more insane than the English?

Well, they did do a poll to decide RD's cutie mark origin, IIRC
Pretty sure that was just a "guess which one is correct" poll (like Treehouse TV's "guess how the slumber party ends even though this episode already aired in the US" poll and The Hub's "guess which wedding cake Applejack's gonna make even though we already showed it in previews" poll, only not as obvious).

Here's my attempt to faithfully translate the final panel of that comic. "Many thanks, Rainbow Dash and Terry, for the saving (as in saving a file on a computer) of my daughter", said Princess Celestia. "Now the marriage is can (yes they used two verbs here) happen. To the reward have (as in the plural form of has) a balloon to please." "You must remember, not (missing to) trust on Zebras", said Rainbow Dash. "Thanks for the balloon."

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

@Mousa Well, that makes more sense, and lines up with what I know about you.

I just want to go to one of the big US comic or gaming conventions at least once.

Well it's clear that whoever 'translated' it from English to German didn't even try.

@Storryyeler: So really bad grammar and translating the wrong homonymes? I guess that that proves the origin.
