@Ils: Oh, well yeah. Bucking a cloud is easy, but the set up is much harder.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

Ginger only likes people being good at things when they've worked really hard to get that good, which makes his dislike of RD's skill strange because it's been established that she, more than anypony else, has been working to improve herself for years.

I think it could more be said that what bothers him is ease. Whether she worked for it or not, it's still easy for her.

Well Applejack's antics are easy for her. That's the entire point of Cutie Marks. They represent what you're really, really good at, and can do over and over with ease.

[down]And BLUESPADE says something to piss you off! Sorry in advance.

Well, the speed is her special talent. I don't see anyone getting mad that Fluttershy just works too well with animals, or that Pinkie Pie is just too good at throwing parties. It's just her talent to me. Except because her talent is really flashy, it comes off as more of The Gift than hard work.

It's easy for her now because of all the work she put in. Her first Sonic Rainboom was more or less a fluke, and she wasn't able to repeat the feat without years of intense training. I doubt that she was that exceptionally skilled when she was younger.

@ L Mage: Actually, it was about RD's speed talent, but Twilight kind of works too

@Kegisak:I love those bits in Persona 4 when you're cooking and it asks you which ingredient do you want to use: a), some Japanese thing you've never heard of, b) ditto, or c) something retarded. Or those questions in class you have ABSOLUTELY no way on knowing the answer to.

@Lurker you know it doesn't work like that for me.

Wait, so according to Ginger, nobody is supposed to be able to do anything easily, even if they've been working for years to learn how to do it?

Nobody mentioned Twilight.

Also, the cloud level in that first episode was pretty small. I liked that scene because it established Dash's character very nicely. She's boastful and a bit lazy, but she most certainly has the skills to back up her bluster.

Orion, How long does it take to train for your weather patrol qualification? Do you need a license in order to move clouds as part of weather maintenance?

@Ginger What do you mean "work like that for you"? How does it work, if not the way presented by the evidence?

Sorry to bring up the thought, but I'm getting a bit pessimistic that we'll get a full 26-episode season 3. Nothing I've seen really convinces me.
