1. I agree that Twi doens't need to have changed, she is the classic Introvert. "Quiet till she gets to know you" She perfectly happy and open around ponies she knows well and feels comfortable with, but quite and withdrawn around those she doesn't. She just never realised how good having a large group of people she can open up to felt becuase she never bothered with it before.

Re: bullying, kinda, but the laughing doesn't really mean Twi was bullied at all, that's just her overreacting. The issue seems to just be an issue with pegasi, which could lead to a nature/Nurture debate, are pegasi more brash and harder on each other (on average) because they still retain some sense of a warrior culture, or did they originally develop into a warrior culture becuase of the increased aggression? but either way, growing up a pegasi seems like the worst foalhood of the three, at least if your around other pegasi, Scoots is lucky. (yes there are non-pegasi Alpha Bitch's but it's with pegasi that the "bulying" is more widespread and accepted)

I'd always suspected that Twilight's family was either minor nobility or very well off. I mean, at least in our world prestigious schools won't even look at an applicant if they don't have enough money or the right connections. The finale only continued to hint at it. It's still entirely headcanon, though.
