Again, what's the appeal of the series?

It has no good villains, so it's automatically out for me. And all the characters I saw were assholes

To me, it's appealing because the music is amazing and they're just fun. You just need to practice a lot. I'll concede that most of the characters are assholes, but it's not much of a problem for me. Okuu's a pretty good villain, if a little bird-brained.*

Well, there's nothing to appeal to you really, so is there even a point in trying?

Me, I just enjoy the gameplay and the music, mostly. Sometimes the characters and the ZUN art.

I'd never have a chance in them either. It took me months to beat Hydorah, and Touhou looks infinitely worse.

They're fun that way, yeah. Just don't let the Easy Mode Mockery get to you. (Mostly from elitist doodleheads you might encounter among the Touhou fandom.)
