The episode followup said that the script spelled it as "Cadance" or something like that.

Still, I have no idea why it's spelled that way >_>

I spell it "Applebloom".

You guys don't complain when Magic is spelt Magik, so why care about Cadence being spelt Cadance?

Because phonetics. Whenever I see it spelled "Cadance" I want to pronounce it as "Ka-dance".
