I have no interest in shipping beyond imagining them getting it on.
Tbh, the concept of shipping beyond that always baffled me.

I don't really want to imagine anything, actually. I just think it's kind of funny that standing next to someone in a picture on TV makes it look like you're in love.

@Purple: I'm not sure if it's reciprocated, but I have to acknowledge that there seemed to be subtext, deliberate or otherwise. Did you see that video where the Doctor says the Master's wife is just a beard?

In a bad way. People look way to deeply into things.
I'm okay when people are doing it for the lulz, but there are people who take it COMPLETELY seriously

Oh, I definately see the subtext.
I just think it's a bit silly to assume they are in love/soul mates because of that.
@Soulless: I was speaking of Twilight and Shining Armor! Also, I love Foe Yay!
@Rice: Where in canon is that ever directly contradicted?
@Soulless: Did you know that Ho Yay was used by writers by writers in numerous periods of time when homophobia was rampant to imply that their characters were gay, without actually saying so?
Hey, Apps!
DAMMIT, THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO BE TVTROPES-FAMOUS FOR.

My thing is that yeah, standing next to someone in Real Life is not the same due to the Law of Conservation of Detail . There wouldn't be a picture of Dash and Soarin' together if it didn't mean something.
On the other hoof, it is also possible to look TOO hard for meaning when it isn't there.
I once wrote a report on the Homoerotic Subtext in The Picture of Dorian Gray.
It IS there on purpose. The line "Somehow I have never loved a woman" was removed by Victorian censors.
