I didn't intend to be rude. That's the last thing I want to be.

All I meant to say was to bring up the way I think it works, and to question why certain things make you think she's half-alicorn.

But I'll stop talking about this, because it's clear that I can't talk about this without being rude.

I mean, look at this post. I should just be apologizing, but all I'm doing is being a passive-agressive prick. And then bringing that up to prevent people from calling me on it.

To be fair, I agree with you, Enlong, but both theories are equally valid. There's no reason why Cadence couldn't be either half alicorn or a full one, just born fairly recently.

@ Sereg: I'm starting to think that Luna stopped aging when she was imprisoned in the moon. Either that, or aged really slowly. I don't know how that would work, but that's suddenly starting to become my head canon.

As I said, there's not enough hard evidence. I just happen to believe the "half-alicorn theory".

Oooh! I've just thought of something! Celestia's the alicorn of day, Luna's the alicorn of night and Cadance is the alicorn of love. Maybe Cadance can control Venus? Also, what was the princess from Hearts and Hooves Day the alicorn of?

EDIT:I actually also believe that Luna didn't age while banished, but that 1000 years wouldn't have been enough for her to reach adulthood anyway.

@Lurker: True. But maybe we should think of what other celestial bodies are associated with. Mercury is messages, so I doubt that she's that. I also doubt that she's war/Mars.

She's also probably not Jupiter/air as she'd recognise the ingrediants. Maybe she's Saturn/harvest! That's why an earth pony loved her and her kingdom was ruined so quickly!

No offense guys, but am I the only one kind of annoyed by discussion of Avatar: the Last Airbender happening in the PONY thread?

For some reason, Pony genetics are one thing I don't think of much. So I just kind of accept that Cadance is an Alicorn whose power is making love. But wait... if there's an alicorn of love... does that mean there's an alicorn of hate? omg I think I just came up with Season 3's villain.
