@ ginger I think he means on her own own. All of AJ's best moments come from how she interacts with other ponies, on her own she just calmly goes about her day on the farm.

Though I would like to see that as an episode....great idea, we see all the ponies running around fratnicly about there average day, while AJ is just calmly mosying along, yet still gets more done then any of them

@ilse I just don't think we saw enough of her.

Exactly! She's great when sharing the focus, but she always needs a foil of sorts, unlike Pinkie or Rarity that can carry an episode mostly on their own. Which I think is just fine, really.

You can't just make a chekclist for sue's, it's about how the audience respondes to them, not any one thing. The "common Sue Traits" are just things that tend to make people hate the person, yet they can all be used really well also.

just look at Through The Eyes Of Another Pony Firewall should be overloading every Sue detector in the fandom, yet he's not. It's all on how they are portrayed. And how good the writing is.

@ Ginger: I agree, but we didn't see much of Rainbow or Fluttershy either. Although Fluttershy had a really funny scene and Rainbow DID make the sonic rainboom.... Hmm.... I don't think I'm helping much...

Actually, I just realized, why did Applejack HAVE to be the one who got shafted like that? She's the most athletic of the group (expect for maybe RD- except she has more of one specific talent than general athleticism). Furthermore, AJ is an EARTH PONY. They have been confirmed to be stronger than other ponies. In short, they could have put basically anyone BUT AJ there and the scene would make a lot more sense...

I love farmwork. I want to retire to a farm. That would be awesome. That episode would probably jump to my favorites list as I analyzed how she harvested apples and made lists about the best farming methods XD

I was going to say something about AJ's "focus" episodes, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea right now.
