I guess we didn't even see Rarity during the fight, but that doesn't make her look good OR bad. AJ getting dogpiled and falling for the changelings actively made her look BAD

or you could just not assume everything so negatively and go with the Changelings knew she was the biggest physical threat so made sure to overwhelm her. She was up against bigger odds then any of the other ponies.

As soon as AJ starts feeling like she's being treated unfairly, I'll be with you, but I don't see much point in being upset for someone else that doesn't share those feelings.
