I still think that Chrysalis made a big mistake in imprisoning Twilight. She was convinced that she had made a big mistake in her haste, and was completely alienated from the rest of the crew. If she had let her "make amends", or better yet, continued to "be angry with her" and let her sulk in her room for the rest of the day, she would have succeeded uncontested.
Or if she just didn't goad Twilight into blasting apart the walls. She lost because Twilight was able to get Cadence, who wouldn't have made it out in her fatigued state alone, to the altar in time.
Do remember that they once, a long time ago, made a My Little Pony movie before. It actually predates the G1 Transformers movie by a few months I think. It was horrible, but that's beside the point...
I firmly believe we'll get a theatrical movie some point down the line now that My Little Pony is popular again, the only question is does Hasbro feel like franchising the hell out of My Little Pony once more? I mean, actual franchising and not crappy stock art comics in little girls magazines...
I think I have an idea of how the series will end. At the beginning, the mane 6 will gain something that will force them to part ways. AJ, Fluttershy, and Pinkie will be staying in Ponyville. AJ has the farm, Pinkie has the babies to sit for a couple of years, and I doubt Fluttershy would leave her animals. Rainbow will finally gain a spot in the Wonderbolts and will learn that she will have to go on tours through out Equestria. Rarity will gain a position in the dress making industry and she will have to relocate (most likely Canterlot). Twilight might gain a teaching position in Canterlot's magic school.
Afterwards, -insert threat here- will force Twi and friends to team up again. Once -insert threat here- is defeated, it's goodbye for real.

Unicorn check.
Twilight Sparkle: Magenta/Magenta
Rarity: Light blue/light blue.
Celestia: Yellow/ Yellow
Luna: Dark blue and white/ A very light blue
Fancy Pants: Gold/Gold
Flim Flam Brothers: Red, white, and green in differing proportions/ Green
It turns out Sparkler has a blue cutie mark, but the purpose of the scene was partially to be a Red Herring for Twilight as I recall.

I noticed this too. Maybe she didn't want Twilight interfering again and wanted to be absolutely sure she can't be a threat.
Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
