@Story: Eh... I dunno, lots of reasons.

Season 2 wasn't really as good overall, and I didn't find many of the episodes as charming or funny as in the first series. It also became apparent from spending time on ponibooru and seeing the flame wars over things like the Derpy controversy and racism and shipping and, eh...

I just realized that the community as a whole is no better than any other fanbase. :/

With that being I don't think that a good reason to drop out, if you admit that.

@EVENTUA : KEEP BELIEVING. THAT FANDOM ISN'T MAGICAL BUT THERE'S STILL A LOT OF GOOD IN IT. GREATEST HUMBLE BUNDLE DONORS. SAVED A FEW LIVES. And actually, Derpygate showed, in my opinion, how the true fans became one big family, with Derpy as a honorary member. ALSO SEASON TWO WAS EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST IN MY OPINION, SO MAYBE THE THIRD WILL BE EPIC FOR YOU TOO.

@ Eventua, compared to toher fanbases, the whole Derpy thing was the ONLY major issue we've had, and even that was no where near as bad as people make it out to be, yeah no matter what your going to get some idiots or Fan Dumb, but on the whole this fandom is still full of wonderful people that really poor there all into the show and there art. But yes, by all means just cherry pick out the few bad examples and ignore the shear massive catalog of awesome/funny/heartwarming this fandom produces on a daily basis.

Also, Season 2 was AWESOME, yeah there where a few flubs *cough*MMDW*cough* but overall it was spectacular, and I hope they keep going strong with season 3 and beyond.

Pfff MMDW was good too. Every episode was good or great in this season.

And I'm happy with way it ended.

I liked it too, I just like it less.

I thought MMDW was okay. I actually thought Rainbow was pretty cool, if cocky. I was more upset with the Mane 5 than with Rainbow.

@Seraphim: I apologize if I sounded like I was saying the fanbase is rubbish or the second series was terrible. I'm not.

The fanbase is still pretty awesome: eh, I've just been kind of been in a picky, bored mood recently. I just... ponibooru, eh... eww. As for the second series, I thought it wasn't as good as the first series: it was still pretty good, though.

A hundred thousand pounds isn't as good as two hundred thousand points, but it's still pretty darn good, right?

Anyhowzle, I might still watch the third season when it comes out: I'm just probably not going to be checking ponibooru or equestria daily, ya know?
