It looks like she's getting along with Twilight just fine in those pictures, though. In fact, that preview clip didn't even have Twilight say anything about Cadence, just that Shining Armor was in trouble. If anything, this makes things much more interesting.

Also, Twilight has some troubled looks in some of the preview pics.

Ok, revised.

So we know Twi thinks SA is in danger. We know everypony else thinks she's being crazy about something. We know Cadance has a dark secret. We know there's an army of evil clones. The math is adding up in ways I don't think the writers would actually be able to get away with doing.

Hmm... new spoilers. Cadence sure seems to get along really well with the others. Maybe Twilight is suspicious of her but everyone else just loves her?

Oooh! Oooooh! Ooooh! What if Twilight does think that Cadence has a dark secret that means that Shining shouldn't marry her, but doesn't blame Cadence for it. She thinks that Cadence is a perfectly lovely pony, but that she shouldn't marry her brother because...I don't know, it means that he'll be forced into some princely duty she doesn't think he's ready for?

If this were a single episode, the I'd have to agree that there's no way to make this all work. We have 44 minutes, though, so there is so much time to give context to all these dangling clues that it could definitely work.

It really is well-written. It's just controversial (like The Prince) because no one understands it

Okay, that last picture is epic. I have to admit that making Cadence evil would be a pretty ballsy thing for the writers to pull, but I doubt that's the case. I'm trying to not get too excited over this; I'd rather not be subjected to Hype Backlash.

I think I finally figured out what it is about Cadance that creeps me out. It's the shape of her head and nose. It sort of makes her look like a baby at some angles.
