Interesting new clip. Certainly seems like Twilight has some issues with Cadenza.

I don't think watching Twilight would have been that unpleasant. She was pretty well behaved back then, so it wouldn't have been a lot of trouble, and it isn't like Cadence would have had many royal duties at that age.

And I think that Cadence would babysit Twilight only because it gave her the opportunity to see Shining Armor on a regular basis. I can totally see a Schoolgirl Crush thing going on here

Celestia is too busy to watch over Twilight's development, so assigns Princess Cadence to look after her so she doesnt blow up Canterlot with one of her magical outbursts. Cadence is pissy because she would rather be hanging out with friends than be saddled with watching over a little pony brat.

Seems a bit immature to want revenge on a child though, I think she eventually chilled out because she got to see SA more when she was babysitting, gave her an excuse to hang around with him whereas otherwise she'd be stuck meeting guys like Blueblood.

@Turtle: That is now my headcanon as well.

I have to admit that I like the idea of Cadence not actually being royalty, but I have no idea how that would work, given that you'd think in that case somebody would go "wait, I've never heard of her before."

In any case I'm guessing that whatever the secret is, Shining Armor is already aware of it.

@Crow I think it'd be more the notion that she (fucking ROYALTY) was being forced to foalsit a student that wouldn't sit well with her if anything.

That just seems really stuck up. She isn't so important she can't do her aunt a goddamn favor and watch her prized student occasionally. Also, Cadence is apparently based on one of the Hub workers kids, so I doubt "petty bitch" came up in the planning sessions.

I saw some mockup LEGO ponies that somebody did with 3D modeling software, but I dont believe it was official. Unless theres something new about it.
