Foalsitting may be a bit beneath an adult princess, but I'm assuming that Cadence is pretty young compared to Celestia and Luna, probably around Shining's age. The character wasn't originally conceived as an alicorn, so I wouldn't expect her to be a thousand years old like her aunts.
