I've spent several minutes now just going between the two blogs trying to decide if the art style for Pinkamina is the same. I think they're a little different, Ask Pinkamina is usually more shaded and Scootaloo looks off a bit in Pinkie's blog.

I might be over thinking this.

Princess Celestia enacts a cider prohibition. Al Capony wants to set up an underground cider smuggling ring, but he'll need a lot of apples. So he comes to Ponyville to set up a deal with Sweet Apple Acres.

Don't recall hanging out in IJBM, usually I just annoy people with politics in real-life threads. Which might be why I'm digging the show, it's got a fun blend of Incorruptible Pure Pureness and Genre Savvy Leaning on the Fourth Wall that helps takes the rough edges off.

I find it incredibly enraging that every time I think I've come up with an original idea for a fic in this series, someone else has already done it better....and of course I don't find this out until I'm halfway through what I've written.

If I continue with what I've got so far I'll look like I'm ripping off fics I haven't even read yet. If I don't it means excising a fairly vital plotline...or having to rewrite the whole thing from scratch.

You really shouldn't worry about that. The community seems to be pretty accepting of of similar fics as long as they are written well.

I was also wondering if anyone else has heard that the premiere episodes are actually the left over episodes. I have only heard it from a couple of people, but it would make sense to me. After all it seems kind of weird to start off your season with a big action episode, especially if your not going to follow up on it.

They are not left overs. They are maded with seson 1 but they are maded as s2 premiere (that how I understand stuff from rededit aswers).

And who say that they will not make more (or allready maded) action episodes?

To be honest I'm just making the assumption that season two will still be primarily like season one, in which case I am assuming the events of the premiere will be wrapped up within the episode and not followed up on.

Of course I could just as easily be wrong and Discord becomes a recurring villain, but I'm not putting any money on it.

It was said Season 2 would have a villain, I don't recall any mention of it being recurring. Jayson even said on Reddit that there's still going to be a balanced mix between adventure and Slice of Life, like how Season 1 was.
