I haven't actually beaten it yet myself, it's just a meme. But from what I hear Everything you did in the entire series amounts to nothing, everyone dies, and you get a a, b, c, choice for ending right at the end, not based on anything you did in the game, none of which are significantly different anyway.

@ Blue..that aint hard. Though...have to admit, there is one company that rose to the challenge (even if it was a few months before we knew how bad it was) and made a worse ending.

Sweet Celestia, Elune, and Luna the ending to World of Warcraft: Cataclysm was BAD!! I'm talking worse then ME 3 bad.

@Orion: From what I've heard, it's that it basically renders all the player's choices moot and basically turns the series into a Shoot the Shaggy Dog story.

FMA Brotherhood was something I watched from time to time when my boyfriend would put it on... It confused me because it was both the same and different from the FMA anime I had watched before.

@Crow and guess what? That does not make me feel more of a desire to watch. It just pisses me right the fuck off and makes me go "I don't fucking care anymore" (especially if the charater is one of my favs)

The problem with the ME 3 ending isn't just the railroading at the end, it's how practically every aspect of the ending is a gaping plot hole.

ME 3's ending had a lot of logic inconsistencies and came out of nowhere. Apparently this was enough to sour a whole 60-90 hours of playing the trilogy for a lot of people, thus retroactively ruining the Mass Effect franchise forever.

While the complaints about the ending are justified, the overall reaction isn't, IMO. I've never seen such a massive uproar over bad writing before.

And now back to ponies, because another Mass Effect derail is the last thing we need.

I just started Playing Dragon Age 2 (Got it cheap from Amazon in a spring sale).

The first DA I found myself quite attached to several characters. DA 2... I couldnt care less about any of them. Am I broken or are they that boring?

@ Turtlebutter: Yeah, the original anime was made before the manga was finished so they eventually reached a point where they just had to make stuff up and run with it. The reason it did so well was because they got the manga author to make it up for them. Brotherhood is a faithful adaptation now that the manga is finished. It has some really bad pacing issues up untill the splitting point, but I hear after that it gets just as good as the first one.

not to mention all the plot holes.

Why is the Normandy close enough to a Mass Relay to have to Outrun the Fireball? Why is Shepard going along with this?

Oh and the fact that you end up with most of the armed forces of the galaxy trapped in the Sol system with no Mass Relay network anymore, and Earth has been ravished past the point of sustaining its own population.

Plus the fact that Quarians and Turians cannot metabolise the same food all the other races can so there going to end up starving. Except per Word Of God..they won't, but no explanaion why or how, just they don't. Oh and that wasn't said till AFTER a ton of people pointed this out making it clear they didn't think about it.
