Fanfic Recs is going over a mass edit. The admins are declaring all remotely NSFW content to be deleted. Several key pages are getting cut and permanently redlisted. Forums are up to the hatchet. all over panic because somebody overreacted at google.

I can't help but feel that it's the same thing as with the whole Derpy debacle. We may not like it, but the guys on top have their own interests to protect. It's the google ads that bring in the money for the servers, and losing the ads would mean losing the site.

Besides, there's been some pretty creepy stuff that sneaked through the admins attention over the years. We got accustomed to it, but an outside viewer will have a pretty knee-jerk reaction, and google doesn't want anything to do with it.

It sucks, but we'd better endure it like adults.

You might just be putting too much stock in hysteria-fueled rumor. Last I heard, this was not happening. We even have a thread for what forum features to give users who are willing to "support this madhouse financially" by paying for a premium account.

Why not put all nsfw pages on the Darth Wiki namespace or give them their own namespace? That should give a clear enough seperation. Also cutting out works pages goes against the sites mission does it not?
