yeah season 1 Zuko is pretty lame. And Zhao is just an arrogant blowhard.

As for languages, I'm a native Dutch, so that one's easy. Besides that, I got pretty good with English, and learned some French and German in school, though those have gotten rather rusty.
Zuko is my favorite character from start. And he only become cooler later.

I suppose Ginger means: Air suffocates fire, Water cools it down, and Earth smothers it.
In a way, air can both help and hurt fire. Blast fire with oxygen or hydrogen, and you got a nice big flame.
CO 2 (I think) helps put it out.

I always had problem with Fire Nation being so overpowered.
That world is not balanced at all. Air Nomads means nothing (wiped out), Water Tribe are small enclaves. War is practically only between Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation (and it's clear who winning).

Well, first off, unless you're somehow in a bizarro world where your air is made up of mostly carbon dioxide (or something else that isn't oxygen), air will actually
feed a fire. Why do you think we blow on it to make it hotter?
Second, bending operates on physical manipulation of the respective element. It's not exactly
Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors like they have in video games.

keep in mind that one of the biggest advantages the Fire Nation had was they were the most technologically advanced nation, a good deal of there military power came not from there benders but from there tanks/warboats/etc...

really no one bender had an advantage over another of a different element, it all came down to each individual benders skill.
The only thing beyond skill that effected who had an advantage was time of day and cycle of moon for Fire and Water benders.
