Well, Toph is a tomboy. She kind of reminds me of Rainbow Dash actually. She's a 12 year old earth-bending prodigy. So I'm not sure if you'll like her
You might not get invested, but I think you'll at least see why a lot of people like it, even if you don't become a fan.
Hey, I have an idea. I can do that unique words thing except for the last few pages in order to hopefully summarize whatever Ilsemmr missed. Which pages do you want me to do it for?

I'm not sure how much violence you ponies are exposed to on a regular basis after all
Dude, they're on the internet. Avatar is incredibly tame by comparison.

Point taken, Kyler.

@ilse But the thing is ilse. I can get invested without actually enjoying something. Resulting in me becoming trapped reading/watching something that I HATE

@ storyyeller: I have absolutely no idea. Anything that actually deals with MLP?
Urgh! That happens to me every time I read or watch Twilight. I feel your pain.

Hey I'm kind of a Longtime lurker of this thread. So I've seen at least some of your guys post but probably not most of it. The last time I posted here was during the Post-Season 1 Break. If you'd like I can do that questionnaire thing that I've sometime seen you guys do. (Favorite Pony, Would you Hug Trixie, Opinion on Pinkie, etc.). No promises that I suddenly become an active poster here though.
Also I see Avatar's been a recent discussion. Which happens to be another of my favorite shows other then Friendship is Magic. Those 2 are the shows I most enjoy. There's only one other cartoon that I like about as much as these 2 right now and that's Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Re the Toph discussion: Toph is actually the reason I started watching Avatar in the first place. I heard that one of the main characters was blind and I was curious how theey handled that.

Any doughnuts?
Toph was the reason I started caring more about it. I watched it from the start, but was getting kind of bored before she showed up. I guess I just like blind characters in stories.
@Ilse: A few pictures, but other than it's basically been about Avatar: The Last Airbender. Which I'm currently in the process of acquiring through Perfectly Legal Means. Yes, but they're incorporated into the cake.
To be fair, it wasn't just natural talent. Toph had a completely different style due to being blind and learning from the Badger Moles instead of a human teacher. So most of her opponents wouldn't be used to it. And she probably practiced extra hard just to spite her parents.

So I was at work today and found myself coming up with a little ditty for some reason, even though I haven't played guitar for years and I've never written a song in my life. It would be from the perspective of Twilight and focused on her feelings before and after she became friends with the Mane Cast (so, basically, covering the first two episodes). It's corny as hell, but hey, why not post it? The title would be Harmony. You taught me Honesty, integrity and pride/You showed me Kindness, and helped me carry on/You gave me Loyalty, and stayed right by my side/You filled my life with Laughter, and made me smile all day long/You reached out to me with Generosity and made me feel at home/You gave me Harmony.../You gave me Harmony.../repeated as many times as sounds appropriate. The first chorus would be similar, focusing on all of Elements, but emphasizing that she was missing these things in her life, since it would be before she met her friends.Lol, this is indeed very corny.
Element of Dullness.

Oh no, don't tell me that Toph is one of those unstoppable Handicapped Badass types who's quirky and exceptionally wise beyond her years -_-

Welcome, of sorts, Sonic Mario!
Well, Ginger, I think the only thing I can say is to watch a few episodes and see how it goes. But I think you might enjoy watching The Legend of Korra more. You would only have to get through the first 2 episodes, you don't have to catch up to anything, and you don't have to watch 60 episodes. Your choice man.
Uh. Yeah. I would not call Toph wise. She's smart, but not really wise. Actually, she's more of a Deadpan Snarker and her talent actually makes sense in the context of the show.
What dieing space squid? Are you randomly talking about Watchmen again?

Unstoppable Handicapped Badass? Totally.
Quirky and exceptionally wise? Try snarky and rebellious.

Thanks ilsemmr. On Equestria Forums I'm known as Northern Verve. Not that I'd suggest most of you guys have been there. But I've said most of what I've thought of the show there.
Also if you mean Courage, Chadaman 99, yeah that was a sad episode. But was really enjoyable anyhow.
