...Oh yeah, now I remember why I brought up "luck manipulation" over thirty pages ago, before I left for work! You see, since Twilight Sparkle's investigation of Pinkie Sense failed, there have been a few theories about how Pinkie Sense "really" works, like that it's not perception of the future at all, but Pinkie's subconscious being "hyper-aware" enough to predict what's likely to happen based on the minutiae it's gathered. Well, my idea was that if earth ponies have magical power over probability, then what Pinkie Pie might be doing is involuntarily casting bad luck spells all over the place, with the magic manifesting as body twitches as it leaves her. This even helps The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well make more sense, where Pinkie was paying more attention to her twitches that week, making the Pinkie Sense go off more, turning all of Ponyville more accident-prone until she was unmasked and forgot about Pinkie Sense again. And so she explicitly doesn't use Pinkie Sense in her fortune-telling business, since that would mainly result in giving ponies bad fortunes. If I really want to stretch it, I could argue that the reason farming is dominated by Earth ponies is that they can infuse their crops with enough good luck to survive freak accidents and grow properly.

Been seeing them in passing whenever I'm in the thread. I'm a very unpredicatble poster here, even for me. But what I've seen has been pretty interesting. And very amusing, considering real-life events. And what did you mean by, "I'll bite", Chadman? You want to know my connection to Colin?

It's just, I'm P Ming with a troper from the LGBT thread that is considering suicide and....And I don't know if I'm saying the right thing or if I'm doing everything wrong and their are a thousand other things going on and my mom is tell me to go to bed but just GAH.

@Mage I'm the last one who'd be able to help with something like that

@L Mage: I have zero experience with that sort of thing, but all I can say is that you should let that know that you care about them, whatever crap is going on can get better, and that suicide is never the solution. I'd also advise you to put them in contact with some sort of hotline or something, especially if you're unsure of how to handle it.
