I tried clicking and dragging on the pictures but it still didn't work, even when I used Internet Explorer instead of Safari. Is there a spot I need to drag it to? Or does it just not work on a Mac laptop?

@Orion: Don't be too surprised that humans are obsessed with mating We are descended from Greater Primates that has a ridiculously fast biological cycle in terms of estrus (monthly cycle on average), meaning that humans can be in estrus much of the time. We're also gifted/cursed with an exceptional imagination in regards to mating as well I wonder if Equestrian pony estrus cycles are annual or something?

@Ace: Yeah, I can tell. I don't know the pony estrus cycle. All I know is, when I'm feeling "my wing boner" (you guys are seriously weird) I keep that feeling to myself when I'm in public.

I'm on break at school now, and am now going almost 24 hours without sleep. I'm surprisingly not tired in the slightest.

I just know that I'd completely abuse magic in engineering if I can tap that force when building things, but I'd still make stuff tough in the mundane sense to avoid problems if I run afoul of antimagic or something.

@Ace: We've had the whole "estrus cycle" discussion before, and it's never not-creepy.

About the magic rockets: just keep in mind that unicorns can produce magic infinitely. They do need their breaks.

In my experience, lack of sleep takes a day or two to kick in before you start feeling terrible. You'll feel perfectly fine on the day after you don't get much sleep.

@JT: Eh? I never realised it was creepy, my bad. It's just simple biological curiosity.

@Orion: Well, I was thinking more of making the craft itself inherently magical, and using high-density magic batteries to hold all the power I need to stockpile. I can't expect a Unicorn to stay in the engine for the whole trip, holding the rocket together with their magic, can I? I could hold the craft together longer with a good roll of Duct Tape or more.

Teeth: Oh, come on, we're all mature here, right?

Tricky that about talking about magic, how do you know it's not more energy-efficient than what we currently have as rocket fuel? How do you know that you can shoot something with magic with enough speed to achieve escape velocity?

Aren't rocket stages designed to fall away once the fuel in it's been spent, so it doesn't burden the rest of the rocket?

Even if we construct a rocket like normal, there's the issue with fuel. I've seen your rockets and they consume so much energy. What we first need to do is learn how unicorn energy converts into jet fuel.

@Kyler: It's called !Science! for a reason. Magic theoratically can flow at a rate equal to electricity, so it's just a matter of experimentation to make composite crystal cells that can hold vast amounts of power. If traditional Fireball-based rocket thrusters don't work, a Lightning-charged linear induction rail launcher should do the trick, you just need a good long "rail" (which can be anything if you can find good magic-conductors) preferably along the Equator if there is one.

Also, you can cut the tape.

@Orion: I'm not just thinking in terms of rocket fuel, I'm more thinking in terms of energy potential. Why emulate rocket fuel and the fire needed to ignite it when I can just cast something like Flare or Explosion or something and focus the converted power? Or, as above, exploit railgun-like properties and make a linear acceleration launcher to pop the spacecraft to the desired speed.

@Ace: The problem with the rail gun idea is the amount of G forces. Going from 0 to 1000m/s in a second is very dangerous. Believe it or not, but not everypony can sustain 1600g's of force like Rainbowdash.

Because if so, I hope you'll forgive my disappointment. I expected something a little more... er, magical.
