Like we discussed before: As long as he's smart, strong, can back up his threats, and actually outwits the heroes on several occasions if he's recurring, then he'll be a good villain.

The pilot was weak because, due to it being a pilot, the writing was more inclined towards the intended audience. I doubt this episode will make the same mistake. Hell, how bad can it be if they have to
reclaim their power after a villain escapes from a
stone prison? This isn't the corrupted princess who makes horse puns being released from the moon. This is an entrapped villain so dangerous the mane six have to pull out an immense power they used a season ago (bonus points: continuity!).
I'm looking forward to it!

I'm very exited about these news. I loved pilots (weakest episodes my plot, they are one of the best)so I'm glad that more adventure like episodes will show up.

Hm. What if Discord is the proper name of the black mist that created Nightmare Moon? It caused discord between the alicorn sisters, after all, and its major tactic against the bearers of Harmony was trying to split them up.
