Also, why is that Rarity considered Steampunk? It's more Victorian than anything.

Oh, for crying out loud Mousa, if you see someone's really good at drawing something, steal his style and reverse-engineer it for your own. My own drawing style is a Megamanned mishmash of my favourite artists's techniques, so I oughta know :D

Briskby's style is neat, I think I'll reverse-engineer her gesturing style.

Also, that steampunk Rarity outfit has clockwork flowers in the hat, sweeeeeeet detailing there.

I am ready to get some arting done. It's a cold Wednesday noon, netflix is prepared, I just need to tear myself away from Oblivion.

@Ace, That's what I did too, my art style is basically grand theft Digimon, DBZ, Shaman King, and Ultimate Spider-man before the sucky Stuart Immonen took over as artist.

Isn't the old adage about mastering art? "Every artist should copy a 10000 paintings before they can master art."

@Ace I was looking at that Rarity steampunk and I thought it was just Rarity in Victorian costume until I noticed the cogs and flowers on her hat. It was a nice touch.

@Ilse: Despite the cost of cable in Singapore, Starhub delivers with reasonably stable service and unlimited Fat Green Pipeline :D Only it used to get really crowded on peak hours because everyone shared the Fat Green Pipe's bandwidth, at least until folks began migrating to the new fibre broadband :D

I would not want to go Verizon or AT&T, no thank you.

I really really should draw more pony myself :V

A whole nest of cogs intertwined with the roses, and the machinery engrave-motif on the metal saddle. Definitely steampunk. Also the tags confirm it :V

Yeah, it seems that Steampunk has evolved beyond the need for practicality. Extraneous gears everywhere! Heck, there's hardly even any steam in Steampunk anymore. Might as well just just call it Gearpunk. It's still a cool style, but it really needs a setting for context or it just seems silly.
