@Mio It's not inconsistent writing either. Exaggerated, maybe, but not inconsistent. From episode one Twilight has been extremely concerned with things being perfect when it comes to the Princess. It's not just in that episode either. You have Swarm of the Century, A Bird in Hoof, The Best Night Ever, Lesson Zero (of course), and a little bit in Hearth's Warming Eve all showing this trait in Twilight.

Yeah, the bit of A Bird In the Hoof established Twilight's freak out tendencies when the princess is involved well enough that Lesson Zero didn't break suspension of disbelief for me. But again, I could really sympathize with her because I was like that for most of college.

@Ginger: Well, I've never actually had hands, so I can't really say. I'm pretty sure hands would be easier, though. I mean, ten digits? Way better than an awkward hoof apparatus.

I think Depending on the Writer is kinda neccesary to some extent for real Character Development. A lot of times one person will have restricted outlooks of how a character acts and feels (or in some cases just not be interested in them at all), so having a batch of different people giving ideas and perspective to it actually helps create multi faceted characters and scenarios. Truth be told a lot times people act erratically in real life anyway. I know I do.

Often times whenever a franchise becomes limited to one creative mind Flanderization or limitation in concepts often kicks in. eg. most of the Looney Tunes characters and formulas when Chuck Jones' personas became the definitive renditions rather than a contributing one.

@Ginger: If I remember right, Rainbow Dash used her wing to hold a ball, but that's about it.

Well I found the old ranking, and you actually went up from 22nd to 15th.

@Psi 001: While I see the point you are trying to make I still kind of disagree. Though I may just be much more of a stickler for character consistency then others are.
