Oh, Frankenstein and Vampires? Did the vampires turn into bats?

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
I can't remember if the Vampyre turns into a bat. It's a really short book. I just need to analyze something about it that's not predictable and that is fun to write about and analyze

That might be a good one. I would need to develop the prompt a little bit to make it fit Vampyre too. And we can use Lolita too, now that I remember. So maybe more like: "What truly created the monster?" Although the vampire doesn't really have an origin. I should ask my English major friends ><

@Chadaman Only problem with that is that it's supposed to be 2-3 pages long double spaced. So around 750 words or so. Otherwise I would write a historical paper about the evolution of monsters...
And good night ^^

Are people who hunt monsters, the true monsters for murdering people just for who they are?

Ooooh ooooh Lovecraft abominations are fun too.
@Badwolfwho The problem with that prompt is that Frankenstein's monster never gets killed and is instead a murderer.
But this essay is difficult because it's supposed to be short.

Well you can still use them if you do something original with them.

I'm not terribly fond of vampires even at the best of times

@ J Teeth: The thing is that only F's monster is created. The vampire already exists within the story and we have no idea about its origins. I was thinking of writing a cliche paper on how each monster represents the writers' fears about society. Like F's monster can represent Shelley's fears about a patriarchal society. Or something. Vampyre is easier to analyze.

Frankenstein was a massive jackass. He should have just made the creature a bride like he wanted and let them run off together. If he was so worried about them reproducing and overrunning humanity couldn't he just not give her a uterus or something? Idiot.

We talked about that in class! And then we were wondering WHY the monster was so scary. In the book he's actually not an ugly monstrosity. We concluded that his monstrosity had something to do with the
