This isn't even about blood relations though. This is about Twilight getting into a relationship with her aunt in law. Like if a pair of brothers met a pair of sisters and they started dating, would one set have to stop when the other got married, since they were now sibling in laws?

Well, my parents were siblings-in-law before they were married. Mum's brother married Dad's Sister. I don't think that's a bid deal.

The issue is more, you know, with the mother-figure thing Celly has going on with Twi.

I don't think there's much of an issue with a purely legal relationship. RD would probably make some jokes about it, but that's not really an issue. I'd be more concerned about the fact that Celestia's basically a second mother to Twilight.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Twilestia either, due to Celestia practically raising her.

Twiluna is way better.

This is obviously the best Celestia ship, and the only canon one.

@Ginger: There's just a weird sort of power dynamic; any pairing where one partner helped raise the other can seem exploitative really really easily. That and I honestly prefer it as platonic admiration anyway.

You could go with the monsters that have shown up on the show. Manticores, cerberus, griffons, etc.

J Teeths suggestion is the best. Obscure monsters are way more interesting if you can find enough information about them.

I should have said this was for my literature class. Not for a social science class XD

I was gonna talk about how the monsters in Frankenstein and Vampyre exemplify the writers' fears and how that reflects on their society. Except that's boring and predictable and I wrote basically the same thing for an essay about Moll Flanders
