She had to kidnap a real moose to make the mold from. The Moose was confused as to just what was going on.

Moose are spectacularly dumb creatures. They're also unbelievably angry, so it was probably trying to decide just which level of fury to exhibit.

As for the moose's expression, anybody who's ever watched someone attempt to make a sculpture out of a foodstuff knows that they almost always end up looking ridiculous. When you're making a moose out of mousse it's inevitable that it's going to look a bit wonky.

I now want to see a Slice of Life episode where Celestia is just trying to get her cake, and various events deprive her of cake in ever more rediculous and frustrating fashion. Like with Rainbow Dash and the cider.

Between this and Applebuck Season, it seems that Amy Keating Rogers likes to throw in that last second sight gag that pisses Ginger off.

The orchard thing wasn't a sight gag though. And it happened a little before the end.
