Was anyone else reminded of Without a Clue by this latest preview?

I'm fully expecting Twilight Sparkle to be the one to solve the case while Pinkie Pie makes base accusations.

Hello everyone. I see y'all are talking about the previous generations. All I know about them is from people that reviewed them, like this one: Familiar Faces. That one is from a guy who likes MLPFIM

Why don't you guys backtrack? It's not hard or all that time consuming.

@ ils: It looks like G1 might actually be watchable for the villians.

@Chada I would have to go through 23 pages from last night to now, and quite frankly I don't feel like it.

G1 looks barely tolerable. G2 looks like something that would make me want to shoot myself.

Like I said G1 is pure 80's cartoon, G2, yeah it's a little girls cartton, G3.....They Just Didn't Care

We do talk about ponies sometimes.

And Wind Whistler. And side characters like Crab Nasties or that lizard guy from Catrina episode (technically he can be count as villain).

The G1 thing with Tirac is probably the only previous gen thing I could bring myself to watch. The others just look too over the top sweet.

My Little Pony Tales is also based on G1.

like someone else said, G1 was Disney Princesses, dumped into a H.P. Lovecraft story.

G3.5 newborn ponies. OH WOW. That's so shitty I could probably replicate it in half an hour with adobe CS 3.

I would say: all kinds of 80s villains met in show with heavy flanderisated version of ponies from MLPFIM and girl version of Wesley Crusher.

The two G1 things I watched were the one where the "Big Brother Ponies" return and there's this sorceress with a bird with magic singing that hypnotizes the ponies so she can steal their youth and magic.

And the other was the one with that "Knight Shade" character and that bad guy that steals shadows so this other bad guy can eat them.

I wish to see that cartoon remake in MLPFIM style with humans removed and less humanoid creatures.

You know, this talk about G1 villains made me thing of nightmare moon and how villainous she was. It struck me that in the Everfree forest she was actively trying to kill the mane 6 at times. The first thing she does is collapse the cliff, which if is wasn't for the pegasi saving the day would have lead to 4 of the 6 plummeting down a large drop. Then she enraged a Manticore, which did attack, and would probably have killed if given the chance. then she simply tried so scare them away with scary trees, which failed. As for Steven Magnet, I like to thing that Nightmare was hoping he would enrage and attack, not start crying. (which gives me a funny 'you have got to be kidding me' image of NM). I guess here she started to worry, so she tries to get them to betray each other (and she picks who she thinks the most likely to betray the others) as killing or routing wasn't working. All in all, she was a straight up evil villain, regardless of it only being a girls cartoon.

I love how we over analyze this show so much...

And right now I got back into knitting. I want to make a Rainbow Dash hat. The only problem is that I don't have that many colors. And it rarely gets cold enough to justify wearing a hat in Texas XD

Nightmare Moon was a great villain. I actually preferred her over Discord.

My favorite villain is by far the Diamond Dogs. They were competent, had cool designs, and a good motive.

I really am curious on what kind of villain the Season Finale will provide...

I have to disagree with the competence factor. Yes they were organized but they were also trolled by RARITY.

Yeah, NM...she was pretty nasty when you think about it!

Eeyup. And I think that the villain for the finale might be tainted by the same thing as Nightmare Moon. That would be pretty cool.
