Read fallout first, then the vinyl tapes to cheer up afterwards.

I thought Fallout Equestria had a happy ending?

Vinyl Scratch Tapes is something you can actually finish in one session, so it's better for light reading, or perhaps if you need a break from ponies shooting at each other.

Sounds a bit like Progress.

Well, nobody around seems to want to talk about stuff, and in any case, I'm preoccupied reading up about Pathfinder.

I've just been watching Wakfu Season 2 this evening... Finally bought a PS2 last night, got it all hooked up, cleaned up my Shadow of the Colossus disk so it would actually play, and had planned to spend today playing it... then one of my roommates friends showed up and nabbed the TV. And he'll be here at least all weekend. And I can't just hook the PS2 up to my computer because it takes some weird adapter thing. Sigh...

Oh well, I'd been meaning to finish Wakfu season 2 anyways. Which reminds me, is Ginger about? He'd actually probably love this series.

It's a french cartoon that's being made in conjunction with an MMO(Though the MMO itself is in Development Hell - I believe it's still in Beta about 4 or 5 years after I first found it). The story follows a small band of adventurers, whose goal varies from season to season - in season 1 the princess of a kingdom of druids has a vision of danger, so she sets off on a quest and picks up the main character Yugo along the way, who turns out to be a member of a ancient race of hyper-powerful beings. One of thier artifacts fell into the hands of an insane time wizard who wants to use it to turn back time and save his family, which would require him to drain the life-force of the planet.

In the second season Yugo finds out more about his race, and finds out there's a way to save a fair chunk of them. He sets out to find a dofus - the eggs of his people which contain one of what he is - the eliatropes - and one dragon, the eliatropes natural brother. the dofus would give him enough power to save his people. The plot of that season is a bit more obscure for most of it; the major antagonist is the equivalent of satan, but he doesn't show up until about 6 episodes from the end of the season.

I figure Ginger would like it for a single reason: The villains are hyper competent, and they stay that way. It takes a god to defeat Season 2's [[theDragon dragon]]. It also has insanely good animation, especially near the final episodes of each season. The fights scenes in it are amazingly choreographed, the characters are all likeable, it's funny... it's a really, really damn good show on the whole.

Wait, they don't spend the entire animation budget on the first episode like anime? I think I should check this out.

Sounds interesting. Where are you watching it? Is it on netflix or anything or do I need to find French dubs somewhere? And is it ongoing or are there just the two seasons?

Ugh. I hate it when shows do that.

Tell me about it. I dropped Guin Saga because it pulled that shit.

I should go to bed, but I'm agitated right now and really don't feel like doing the smart thing. I'm probably going to end up staying here until the library closes and they kick me out.

Yeah, the animation from the beginning of the seasons isn't actually all that great. I mean it's not bad, but compared to the endgames? It looks like something a fifth grader looks makes in flash. No, it saves it's budget for the big stuff.

I downloaded both seasons - it's only available in french with subtitles, so it's tricky to find it online anywhere. The second season ended about a month ago, but there's rumours a third season has been licensed.

Well I found a torrent. It has like no seeders, so hopefully I'll be able to watch it sometime within the next month.

Eh, I'm more a fan of Twilight's smoothie.
