I don't get what storyyeller is doing.

It's pretty simple. I'm going through the text of this thread, and finding every two word phrase which has appeared at least 25 times and which is always followed by the same word.

Highly improbable, too many of those colloquialisms s are probably too ingrained in our vocabulary to avoid them entirely, we would have to concioisly use different scentence structure in every post to circumvent our hardwired habits, if not write in another language.
